ASHTON ASOKE - The coolest condo in Bangkok

First of all, I would like to explain the reason I write this article is just because I get a change to visit the site and I was really impressed by the huge improvement of their design, really attention to details. Also the future value of this location is really bright. So, I will walk you through each detail and end with short analysis parts.

Huge improvement of Design

is the first thing that pop up into my head when I had arrived at lobby. You have to understand first that Ananda always communicate a single message that they are the 'Trend Setter for Urban Living Lifestyle' which I think they have done it so well but my only concern is it always look the same (for me), same design, same style, same pattern. Sometime I cannot even recognize how different of each segment or product.

But Ashton Asoke is different and it can really impressed me since the first step. The building look stunning with cool and dark color, the refined exterior design can reflect the real standard of young and luxury urban living in the metropolis.

I know that there is a drama about the water feature at the entrance. I totally agree that it would make the atmosphere look more exquisite. So, I wish the developer would bring it back to make this place become a real masterpiece.

Second thing that really impressed me is the garden in front of the building. I really want to stand up and applaud for 10 minutes to TROP for such an excellence work of their landscape design, actually it is the most beautiful garden I have ever seen in my life. It can really reflect the sense of luxury urban living, emphasize the unique selling point of curved glasses, and still preserve the real peaceful greenery space and old trees in the center of the city that can really utilize, quality of material is just perfect, contrast of white marble and dark green of the garden make this area look more expensive and the way they present the precious preserved trees is really creative. It look like you are walking in an art gallery that separate you from beautiful old trees with tall and thick glasses.

Move inside the building, you can feel the perfect mix of Thai traditional style and cutting edge design which is a signature of Ananda. I think this is the first time that I can see the thoughtful design like this from them. One of their staff said 'designer get inspiration from Siam Society. You can feel senses of Thai in their interior design such as texture of Siam Society's roof has been adapted to become texture of pillars. Thai wooden doors that appear on every facility floor. Mood and tone of dark atmosphere help emphasize beautiful scenery around the area and make it look charming, mysterious and sexy.

Go up to facilities on 35th floor. The first thing you will see is beautiful Center City scenery at the perfect height shining around like a wallpaper. Interior design is very nice and functional, quality of material such as marble floor and marble pool is great, high ceiling makes the area look elegance, mood and tone is really cool.

Now move to the mock up unit. From my personal experience that I have seen their condos for 6 years, This is their standard. I will explain more later.

Analysis - personal opinion

First part is value proposition of Ananda from my aspect.

So who is Ananda? For me, Ananda is a handsome playboy who live in the place that can reflect his personality from the outside. He really care about his look, interested in cool technology and gadget, enjoy luxury of expensive sport car, hi-end watch brand, enjoy party in luxury bar with expensive wine, etc.

If you are going to convert him to a condominium, how it gonna look like?

For me, It must look cool and sexy from the outside with cutting edge design. Location have to be very close to BTS or MRT station. Lobby and facilities have to look good and expensive because it is the area that he will use to welcome and impress other people. On the other hand, he not really care much about his personal area because it's only the place to sleep, take a bath and change his clothes.

Like what they said "No Body is Perfect". So, you cannot get it all. If the location is very close to BTS and MRT station, you might have to lose the quality of material or specification and that is his style.

Location

Asoke is an extremely prime location of Bangkok. No matter what you wanna do, Luxury shopping in Ratchapasong Shopping Street or at the EmDistrict, shopping an affordable fashion at Terminal 21, Surrounded by Business District no matter Childlom, Asoke, Prompong, Rama 9 or Rama 4, travel to Suvarnabhumi Airport, relax and exercise with fresh air in the park like Lumpini, Chuvit Garden, Benjakitti Park or Benchasiri Park, this is the center of everything. Ashton Asoke also located close to MRT and BTS station which is the 2 main public transportation of Bangkok.

The only problem here is traffic especially on weekday because it is the center of the city so people have pass sukhumvit and asoke road to go to offices or enjoy life after work.

Food

Even in the prime location like this, you can still find local street food on Asoke street and affordable food court at Terminal 21. Abandon with nice cafe and tasty restaurant. So, this is one of a good place in town that can actually live here.

Opportunity

I personally think that price of new condominium in prime sukhumvit area could go up to 300,000 THB per square meter next year. Which mean, if you bought Ashton Asoke at around 200,000-230,000 THB per square meter, it should be really safe to resale in 1-2 years. But you have to check for foreigner quota because this group of buyer can afford very high resale price.

Living here

I cannot say much about this. Please google feedback from real residential experiences. You can get a lot from Pantip also.

There is no conclusion from me because I gonna repeat exactly the same thing again in the shorter version :p

Hoever, this is only my personal opinion for Ashton Asoke and you cannot believe everything I said. You to trust your own instinct.
